The China Cup Sailing Race was founded in Shenzhen in 2007 and is the first international sailing event founded by Chinese people. It is the only high-end sports brand event recognized by the government under the name of the "China Cup" and is also an important event listed in the "International Sailing Federation" calendar. Approved by the General Administration of Sport of China and co sponsored by the Water Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event is held once a year in Daya Bay, Shenzhen. It has won the "Best Sailing Race in Asia" for many times, and has become a new cultural card handed to the world by China.
